support@yaphive.com. Tell us what you were doing, what you were doing it on — an iPhone, an Android phone, a browser — and what happened instead. We answer as fast as we can, and within a few working days at the latest.

If the app froze or went blank, open Settings → Diagnostics first and paste what it shows into the mail. It is a log of the last things the app did, kept on your own device, and it usually contains the answer.

Every Hive has a Feedback Swarm: Settings → Feedback. Opening that screen puts you in the Swarm, so you can read what everybody else has said as well as add to it — filed under a category, carrying your name, answered in replies underneath. Use it for anything about your Hive: a rule, a member, a Swarm, something you would like it to do.

Use the address above instead for anything about YapHive itself, and for anything you would rather not say in front of the Hive.

Install the YapHive app on your iPhone or Android phone, sign in, and enter the invite code an admin gives you — or scan the Hive's QR code — under Join a Hive. Then pick the name that Hive will know you by.

There is no other way in. YapHive has no public Hives and no sign-up form — if nobody has invited you, there is nothing here to sign up to yet.

Settings → Delete account. It removes your personas, your Yaps and replies, your chat messages and the pictures and voice notes on them, in every Hive, and then deletes the account itself. It cannot be undone.

If you are the sole owner of a Hive, hand that Hive over to another admin first — Settings → that Hive → Members. Otherwise deleting your account would take the Hive's members' room with it.

Open the menu on any Yap, reply or message and choose Report to admins (Report message, in a chat). It reaches that Hive's admins, and serious reports reach us. We look at every one within 24 hours and remove what breaks the rules, along with the account that posted it.

To block somebody, open the menu on them — in a chat, or on their persona — and choose Block. Their Yaps and replies stop appearing in your feed and in the threads you read, and their notifications stop reaching you. Blocked from a chat, neither of you can message the other in that Hive. Nobody is told, and you can take it back.

On a computer: if you are already a member, the Apple and Google buttons at the foot of yaphive.com sign you in to the browser version. The website is not a way to join — an invitation opens the app, and that is the way in.
